Jeuveau is an injectable prescription medication used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). Jeuveau works by relaxing the muscles in the treated area, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and blocks the signal activated by your muscles, all done within a quick 10 minute treatment.
The effects of the treatment generally start to become noticeable within a few days, and they can last for several months while the muscle activity gradually returns to its normal state.
After treatment, you should notice a gradual reduction in the appearance of your frown lines. Temporary localized pain or tenderness, swelling and/or bleeding or bruising can be normal afterwards. It’s important to follow your healthcare provider’s instructions for aftercare, which may include avoiding certain activities such as strenuous exercise or excessive sun exposure in the days following your treatment to ensure the best possible results.
